The East Brighton Ward is one of three in Brighton and Hove that is to receive this funding and applications for funds MUST be for work that benefits communities in all or part of this area:
Included within the ward are the Whitehawk and Manor Farm, Craven Vale, and Bristol Estates. It also includes the Kemp Town area between Burlington Street and Church Place.
In the next round just over £12,700 is available for grants of between £250 and £2,500 for work that is within the priorities (listed below). Applications will be made to the local panel who will then pass supported bids to the Community Development Foundation for approval and payment (download grant information or terms and conditions here). ), and applicants need to attend a community presentation event on 18th March between 2 and 8 pm
Priority Areas (applications must show how they can impact on at least one of the following:
- Promoting all members of the community to feel safe both within their homes and in the wider neighbourhood.
- Supporting employment, employment skills, training, and education activities throughout the ward especially for the young unemployed.
- Providing activities for children and young people throughout the ward
- Providing activities and services that will impact on the health and wellbeing of members of the community.
